ArteMIA is a journey of discovery and accessibility of cultural heritage, focusing on works of art preserved in several museums in the Region of Umbria. The project is implemented through art therapy workshops (using photography and digital reworking/immersion) and aims to provide tangible tools (co-created by the beneficiaries themselves) that make the museum more accessible to people with cognitive disabilities. The goal of ArteMIA is to promote accessibility of cultural heritage and engage people with cognitive disabilities in a creative storytelling process aimed at reappropriation of spaces, emotions and active participation in the cultural sphere.
On May 9, young people from Locomotiva Cooperativa Sociale and Cooperativa Sociale Ellelle take us on a tour of Palazzo Candiotti. Free admission!
