SUMMARY:Is AI on the side of girls? Look for gender stereotypes in AI products
DESCRIPTION:In this 60-minute workshop\, participants become “bias hackers\,” critical analysts of language and images produced by Artificial Intelligence. Through a reverse engineering game\, the girls and boys\, divided into teams\, analyze texts\, images\, and videos generated by AI to identify hidden gender stereotypes\, linguistic biases\, and implicit assumptions. The goal is not to “break” AI\, but to understand how it works: what images of the world it reproduces\, what roles it assigns\, what voices it amplifies or silences. \nThe first 30 minutes are devoted to the workshop\, and the next 30 minutes are spent openly discussing the results. \nThe workshop is led by Sonia Montegiove\, journalist and computer scientist\, Giuseppina Bonerba\, professor of Semiotics at the University of Perugia\, and M.Pia Fanciulli\, journalist.

SUMMARY:Inclusive Vertical Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Inclusive Vertical Gardens is a hands-on workshop that brings together participants with different abilities through a collaborative artistic experience. Using inclusive\, experiential and collaborative methods\, participants co-create five vertical garden panels representing the word “CREA”\, plus an additional panel with “CULTURA”\, all using the festival’s typography and colours. The gardens are made with natural preserved moss and sustainable materials\, encouraging exploration of texture\, colour and composition through teamwork.\nMixed groups of up to six people per panel (maximum 30 participants\, including our 10 students with different abilities) work together to design and assemble each garden. Through guided team dynamics\, participants experience how artistic creation can connect people with diverse abilities\, backgrounds and perspectives.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop offers you a unique opportunity to approach Dante’s Inferno in a lively\, engaging\, and deeply experiential way.\n“Understanding Dante with Voice and Body” stems from the idea that Dante can truly be understood by giving him a voice\, exploring his rhythm\, sound\, and musicality\, and allowing his poetic words to resonate within the body. This is not a lecture\, but a practical and participatory experience: through vocal exercises\, work on rhythm\, choral listening\, and stage presence\, you will enter the text in a direct and concrete way.\nThe workshop is open to people of all ages\, with no previous theater experience necessary. Young people and adults will work together in a spirit of transgenerational collaboration\, building a choral experience that values every voice and every presence.\nThe course is part of a larger artistic and educational project on Dante’s Inferno and will culminate in a public performance during the Giornate Dantesche (Dante Days): a moment shared with the city\, in which the work carried out will take shape on stage.\nIf you want to discover Dante in a new and non-academic way\, explore your voice and expressiveness\, enjoy an intense and meaningful group experience\, and participate in an international cultural project\, this workshop is for you.

DESCRIPTION:This experiential workshop presents an inclusive approach to cultural heritage interpretation using digital and sensory tools. It is based on the Zagori Ecomuseum project “Listen–Touch–Feel”\, implemented in the Vikos–Aoos UNESCO Global Geopark in Greece.\nThe workshop demonstrates how 3D printing and soundscape recording can make cultural landscapes accessible to visually impaired people. Participants will explore tactile 3D models of traditional stone bridges and listen to recorded soundscapes from the geopark\, discovering how touch and sound can communicate heritage beyond visual perception.\nThrough a guided hands-on activity\, participants will design their own small sensory heritage experience using sound and tactile elements. The workshop promotes inclusion\, S.T.E.A.M. learning\, and open educational practices. \n

DESCRIPTION:MindnARt: Stories for Emotional Resilience is a public workshop open to children\, families\, teachers\, and members of the local community. It offers a creative and welcoming space where stories become tools for emotional expression\, empathy and connection. The event is organized in the framework of MindnArt – Empowering Teachers to Manage Students’ Stress through Emotional Intelligence and Creative Art Interventions\, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme\, and aims to promote students’ wellbeing through narrations of the project publication. \nDuring the workshop\, participants will take part in guided storytelling activities focused on emotions\, resilience\, and everyday challenges. The experience will be combined with a puppet-making workshop\, where children will create simple puppets and use them to bring their stories to life in short\, playful performances. \nThe event will also include the presentation of the book Silent Screams\, developed within the project. Through its powerful stories and reflections\, the book seeks to help young people better understand their emotions and to support parents and educators in responding to children’s inner struggles. By sharing these narrations with the public\, the event aims to raise awareness and strengthen a culture of care\, listening\, and emotional wellbeing.

You don’t need to know how to dance: just let yourself be guided by the rhythm\, energy\, and desire to get involved. The body becomes a tool for getting to know yourself better\, communicating with others\, and enjoying an authentic and engaging learning experience. \nDuring the workshop\, through guided activities\, movement games\, and moments of improvisation\, participants discover how much the body can help them learn\, collaborate\, and create together. DESCRIPTION:How can we build a social Europe by cycling 6\,000 km from Lisbon to Athens? The workshop stems from the experience of the Sunflowers European Tour\, a journey-investigation undertaken by Utopia 2000 through 10 countries to document resilience and social innovation. Through an interactive approach\, participants (aged 18-25) will experience the “bicycle method”: slow observation as a tool for reading the needs of the territory and discovering innovative solutions. Analysing real case studies encountered during the tour (from workplace inclusion in Spain to historical memory in the Balkans)\, the young people will work in groups to map the “invisible” resources of their communities and design a micro-initiative with social impact\, becoming protagonists of a Europe built from the bottom up. \nEducational objectives:\n1. Understanding the Social Economy: Understanding how businesses can generate collective well-being in addition to profit\, through concrete European examples.\n2. Training the “Recognising Eye”: Learning the value of slowness and listening as tools for territorial investigation.\n3. Stimulate Active Citizenship: Show how young people can build transnational bridges and networks\, inspired by the network model created by the Sunflowers Tour.

DESCRIPTION:This interactive workshop bridges the successful experience of uncovering a 350-years old cobblestone path (kalderimi)\, in Vitsa\, Zagori with the local heritage of Foligno.\nUsing this case study\, we will explore how local communities and volunteer teams can act as catalysts for revealing “lost” heritage assets -both tangible and intagible. \nTwo step non-formal methodology:\n1) A brief presentation of how a buried path was transformed into a living cultural asset for the local community in Greece.\n2) Participants will engage in a “hunting” activity to identify neglected or invisible local spots that hold heritage value.

SUMMARY:Heritage in Motion
DESCRIPTION:Participants will analyze a cultural heritage site through complementary perspectives and collaboratively synthesize knowledge into a digital narrative. The methods used are experiential learning\, collaborative production\, peer learning and guided reflection\, without frontal lectures. Participants are divided into small groups of 3 people and each group is assigned one cultural heritage site. Each participant receives one role card: Cultural Interpreter\, Scientific Observer or Learning Designer. The cultural interpreter helps with understanding the social\, symbolic\, and cultural meaning of the heritage site. They help the group understand the emotional and social resonance of the site and explain why the site is important culturally and historically. The scientific observer helps with understanding the physical and material aspects of the heritage site. They provide information about the materials\, the construction\, the evolution of the site and explain how humans and nature shaped it. The learning designer helps with understanding how visitors or learners can engage with the site. They analyze how visitors experience the site\, what elements or stories would spark curiosity and how it can be made more interactive\, educational and interesting. After that\, groups collaboratively produce one digital narrative made with their mobile phone or laptop which might be audio or video.

DESCRIPTION:An interactive workshop that uses legends from Greek oral tradition as a case study to explore intangible cultural heritage and the theme of sustainability from an international perspective. \nStarting from the digital database oralliterature.omeka.net\, developed in an academic context\, the legends are not presented as static archival material\, but activated as participatory educational tools. \nThe aim is to bring participants closer to oral tradition as a living form of knowledge\, through which communities have expressed their relationship with nature\, collective responsibility\, and shared values over time. \nWorking in small multinational groups\, participants will analyze selected legends and\, through creative activities such as retelling\, performance\, and contemporary reinterpretation\, will be invited to translate them into their own cultural context\, developing critical thinking\, intercultural awareness\, and new perspectives on sustainability.

SUMMARY:ArteMIA - Palazzo Trinci
DESCRIPTION:ArteMIA is a journey of discovery and accessibility to cultural heritage and places of culture\, focusing on works of art preserved in various museums in the Umbria region. \nThe final product of the ArteMIA project is a series of accessible guides (written using the Easy To Read method) to cultural heritage sites\, which are distributed free of charge in the museums involved in the project with the aim of making these places inclusive and accessible to people with cognitive disabilities. \nThe process leading to the creation of the Guides includes art therapy workshops using photography and digital reworking/immersion\, as well as activities aimed at developing an accessible museum itinerary. \nThe aim of ArteMIA is to promote the accessibility of cultural heritage and involve people with cognitive disabilities in a process of collective and creative storytelling aimed at reappropriating spaces\, emotions and active participation in the cultural sphere. \nThe young people of the Locomotiva Cooperativa Sociale and the Cooperativa Sociale Ellelle take us on a tour of Palazzo Trinci\, Foligno’s iconic museum and a treasure trove of beauty waiting to be discovered.

SUMMARY:VIDEO GAMES @ SCHOOL. Designing Educational Video Games with Simple Digital Tools
DESCRIPTION:The “Video Games @ School” workshop is an experiential activity designed for teachers interested in exploring the educational potential of digital culture and integrating digital gaming tools into school teaching.\nThe workshop will be held in English and is designed to offer participants practical skills that can be immediately applied in everyday teaching\, without requiring any particular technical or IT knowledge.\nThe first part of the workshop will briefly introduce the theoretical and neuroscientific basis of educational video games\, why they are effective in school settings\, and what characteristics make them inclusive and motivating teaching tools. Concrete examples of educational video games will also be presented\, and basic technical guidance will be provided for their creation using easy-to-use digital platforms.\nThe second part will be dedicated to a practical activity in small groups (max 5/group)\, during which participants will design and create one or more educational video games using dedicated online platforms\, guided step by step by the trainers. \nThe final phase of the workshop will include a brief presentation of the products created\, followed by a group discussion and final feedback. Participants will also be provided with useful materials and resources to explore and replicate the activities proposed in their own school contexts.\nThe workshop will be led by experienced professionals in the education and healthcare sectors\, including psychologists\, neuropsychologists\, and pediatricians with experience in research and training in clinical\, educational\, and digital fields: Dr. Amalia Egle Gentile (National Institute of Health)\, Prof. Agata Polizzi (University of Catania)\, Dr. Sergio Rinella (University of Catania)\, Dr. Lucrezia Micheli (National Institute of Health)\, and Dr. Gennaro Anastasio (University of Catania / National Institute of Health).
